- While the reading of the editorial from the ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH was music to my ears, you have to know that the paper has a strong liberal take on US politics. Just saying, though I love the show and look forward to it every evening.

- While we agree about what Sanford is doing, your judgment of him as a person is much harsher than mine. I actually feel quite sorry for him. He's experienced something that most men would envy and he might give it up out of duty or obedience.

- Having been through something similar, it seems to me that he really wants to be with the woman in Argentina, but wants his wife to break it off with him first, so he can be with the woman he loves with a relatively clear conscience. I think his wife is foolish for trying to hold on to him.

- Having been through something similar, it seems to me that he really wants to be with this woman in Argentina and that he feels guilty about it, and so he wants to push his wife until she throws him out for good. Then he can go back to Argentina with a relatively clear conscience.
